THE NEUROTOXIN INSTITUTE ADVISORY COUNCIL
The NTI’s educational goals and activities are directed by the NTI Advisory Council (NAC). NAC members are drawn from the world’s foremost experts in their respective disciplines. Moreover, most NAC members are heads of academic departments and leading members of medical/educational societies, programs, and major scientific meetings. The NAC’s tasks include:
- Consideration of the scientific and medical scope of the NTI and evaluation of the quality of its activities
- Definition of educational needs
- Definition of research needs
- Provision of advice on appropriate educational products and activities. All products and activities of the NTI are reviewed by the NAC prior to their initiation and dissemination. Specifically, all products and activities of the NTI are reviewed by the NAC for educational and scientific content and to assure balanced presentation that is free of commercial bias and consistent with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) guidelines. The final decisions regarding products and activities to undertake each year are made by the NAC in consultation and agreement with the NTI.
- Provision of advice on program faculty for different educational activities
